How long does a program take to complete?
The program you choose determines the time you are required to spend in school. The following programs listed will give you the approximate time you will spend in school. Our full time program is 30 hours per week.

What are the differences between Cosmetology, Hairstyling and Barbering?

• As a licensed cosmetologist, you will also be able to provide services for hair, nails and skin care.
• As a licensed hairstylist, you will also be able to provide services for hair only.
• As a licensed barber, you will also be able to provide services for hair, some skin services and shaving.

Do you offer financial aid?
Yes, as an accredited school we offer financial aid to those who qualify. Based on your individual need Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Grants (SEOG), Stafford Loans, Federal Direct Student Loans and Parent Plus are available. See Financial Aid page.

What are the requirements to be accepted at NDBA?
You must be 16 years of age or older ( if you are under the age of 18, you must have parental consent), show proof of a high school diploma, a GED or pass an Ability to Benefit Test. We require you to write an essay on why you have chosen this field. We want you to make the best choice in choosing your career and have a passion for this industry. There is application fee that must be paid to begin the enrollment process.
